Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, known as the City of Brotherly Love, is confident of making further inroads into the India travel and tourism market. Non-stop flights between the 2 destinations are serving both places well, which was already doing well before this.

The President and CEO of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB), Julie Coker Graham, said in Delhi, India, during a trade sales mission that a 10-year visa that was introduced by the US has been a great help in boosting arrivals from India.

The train connection from Washington, DC, to Boston, Massachusetts, has also helped matters, she said. She revealed that the Revolution Museum, which opened in April 2017 and took 16 years to build, was a big potential attraction for visitors from India. The Fashion District which will open next year will also draw many Indians, said the CEO, adding that tax-free shopping was also a big attraction.

Graham spent many years working for Hyatt prior to taking on lead role at the PHLCVB.
